VIDEO: COVID-19 Screening And Check-In At Allevio

As we slowly and carefully resume practice in Allevio Pain Management’s new normal, we have enhanced our screening process for COVID-19 in our pain management clinic. If you’re coming to Allevio for a procedure, please watch this before your visit so you are aware of what to expect:

Please also note:

Our waiting room is currently closed, and while we do require someone to drop you off and pick you up, they unfortunately can’t wait for you in our waiting room. They are welcome to wait in their car and our team will send them a text or give them a call when it’s time to pick you up. There is a Tim Horton’s, McDonald’s and Starbucks all within a 5 minute drive of the clinic (along York Mills toward Leslie).

Please come EARLY. Screening for COVID-19 may take a few minutes, and as the waiting room is closed, coming to your appointment between 20 and 30 minutes early will ensure you have plenty of time to be properly screened before checking in for your appointment.

We will ask you to sanitize your hands and may provide you a mask for your visit. These are for your protection and ours. When wearing our masks, it’s tough to drink as the masks tie at the back, so please finish your beverages before you check in and put on your mask. This is more of a tip for you than a rule, but we love our coffee and realized this tip is important for all of us.

The Allevio team are screening themselves before every shift as well. All of us are having temperature taken and are adhering to the same rules as our patients.

We appreciate your trust and your patience as we worked through the last few weeks, and look forward to helping you when the time is right. Remember: the clinic’s resources right now are for urgent and front line, first responder, active solider and military veteran priority. If you can help with your civic duty to stay home, please do. If you speak with your physician and agree you should come in now, we will do our best to help.
