Allevio Has Paused Clinical Operations

In compliance with the Government of Ontario’s mandate to slow the spread of the omicron variant of COVID-19, Allevio has paused in-clinic operations and procedures. Our Paramedics and emergency resources and now stretched beyond capacity, our hospitals are full, and it’s simply not safe enough for us to offer our care at the moment.

We understand that this decision is being met with controversy and that our patients need care. We also appreciate that our team wants to help our community. Allevio strives to bring ethical care within reach, to always do what’s best for our patients and to not provide anything we wouldn’t be comfortable offering to those we care about.

We will be watching our leaders and monitoring clinical data very closely to see what happens with our hospitals and essential workers. We will post an update for everyone in the next few days. In the meantime, I know we all appreciate the support and selflessness of our fellow essential and frontline workers and are working hard on a virtual and digital care delivery model to further help open the bottleneck between care providers, and patients in need.

Thank you for your continued support, trust and patience.
